Introducing Our New Kids Yoga Class: Mindful Movement for the Whole Family
We are so excited to announce something brand new at Utah Prenatal Yoga: Kids & Family Yoga with Emerald Kids Yoga!
Parents in our community have asked for mindful movement options for their little ones, and we’re thrilled to finally bring a class that blends connection, play, grounding, and heart-centered teaching; all led by the incredibly gifted Jayme of Emerald Kids Yoga.
This special addition to our schedule is designed to give families a chance to connect, breathe, and move together in a supportive, distraction-free space. Parents and children share healthy, happy, and meaningful time as they explore yoga side by side. Through playful poses, mindful movement, yoga games, and simple breathing practices, families strengthen their bonds and learn from each other in ways that feel joyful, intuitive, and nourishing.
Why Kids Yoga? Because Children Need Mindful Spaces Too
Kids yoga is so much more than wiggly poses and cute games (though there will be plenty of those!).
Jayme’s approach nurtures the whole child—mind, body, and soul. Each class integrates:
Mindfulness practices
Breathing techniques
Relaxation strategies
Age-appropriate yoga postures
Creative, playful movement
Social-emotional skill building
Children learn how to connect with their inner selves, develop self-awareness, and cultivate compassion for themselves and others. They also learn practical tools for calming their nervous systems, focusing their minds, and expressing themselves in healthy ways; skills that support them well beyond the studio.
And because kids learn best through play, imagination, and movement, everything is delivered in a way that feels light-hearted, engaging, and FUN.
Emerald Kids Yoga: A Heart-Centered Philosophy
Just like the emerald gemstone, Emerald Kids Yoga embodies the qualities of love, compassion, and authenticity in every class. Jayme is deeply committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to shine brightly.
She believes every child deserves access to the transformative benefits of yoga and mindfulness. That’s why Emerald Kids Yoga teaches in a wide variety of settings; libraries, recreation centers, preschools, and yoga studios.
Wherever children are, Jayme brings the magic of yoga to them.
We’re honored to bring her work into the Utah Prenatal Yoga community for this exciting new offering.
Meet Jayme: Certified Teacher, Experienced Yogini, and Heart-Led Educator
Jayme is a certified elementary and secondary health teacher, an adult & kids yoga instructor, and the founder of Emerald Kids Yoga. Her passion for teaching light-hearted, playful yoga has only deepened since becoming a mother herself.
Before stepping fully into the yoga world, Jayme spent over seven years teaching kindergarten in Idaho and Nevada. She incorporated breathwork and yoga practices right into her classroom curriculum, quickly noticing how deeply it benefitted all students, regardless of temperament or learning style.
With more than twenty years of personal yoga practice, Jayme brings both depth and warmth to her kids classes. She completed her RYT 200 through Mountain Yoga Sandy and her RCYT (Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher) certification through Yoginos: Yoga for Youth.
Her mission is simple and beautiful:
Help children and families learn the connection between mind, body, and breath, and support them on a heart-centered, playful path toward emotional growth, self-regulation, and inner peace.
