Therapeutic Touch Techniques for Newborns and Infants
Lesha Krantz Nelson will be holding a special workshop on November 29th from 6:30-8:00pm at the studio. Lesha is a registered and licensed Occupational Therapist with a special focus and education in Craniosacral Therapy. She has been practicing Craniosacral Therapy since 2011 and was certified as a therapist from the Upledger Institute in 2014. She specializes in pregnancy and birthing, newborns and pediatrics, immune system disorders, and brain/ head trauma and concussion. Her graduate level education in Occupational Therapy provided her with extensive training in anatomy, kinesiology, movement analysis, and rehabilitation. Come learn from one of the best that Utah has to offer!
In this 90-minute class you will learn basic therapeutic massage and calming techniques for you and your baby. Learn how to massage and touch your baby to calm them any time of the day, to assist in digestion, and to prepare for sleep. Basic grounding and craniosacral therapy techniques will be discussed and demonstrated. All techniques will be completed by you on your baby so everything you learn you can do at home on your own.

Location: Utah Prenatal Yoga: Brickyard Plaza suite 75 in Salt Lake City. This is on the second level between Kohl’s and Tj Maxx, above pro nailz. Please note the actual street address will take you to the loading docks behind the building so please enter from the front (east side)
Items to bring:
1 beach/shower size towel
1-2 hand towels
Lotion and oil of choice that works for your babies skin. I recommend coconut or organic cold pressed sesame oil.
Yoga mat and any floor cushions you may need to sit comfortably on the floor for up to 90 minutes.
